Responsibilities
- Write playbooks and modules to implement hardening controls and manage configuration tools in a variety of environments at different accreditation levels.
- Upgrade, support, and optimize automation tools to create a highly available, resilient, and self-healing environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation tools and their implementations, recommending and implementing changes to enhance, stabilize, and secure ongoing operation.
- Enable Maxar infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain compliant systems using standards and configuration state management tools tailored to compliance requirements.
- Continuously monitor operational system performance and usage, and refine tools to reduce complexity, increase reliability, and balance timeliness with cost efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to obtain Secret Security clearance
- At least two years of software development or infrastructure engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Ability to be on call on a rotating basis
- Linux system administration experience
- Experience using and/or administering a variety of open-source technologies
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with Bash/Python/Perl/Ruby
- Ansible Tower or AWX writing Ansible playbooks and roles
- Satellite and Puppet
- Windows system administration experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret or TS/SCI U.S. security clearance
- PowerShell training
- SCCM
- Group policy
- Imaging baselines
- OS Repositories
- Experience implementing compliance standards (e.g., STIG, CIS, NIST 800-171)
- Cloud environment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or other)
- Experience using Ansible, Satellite, Ubuntu Landscape or equivalent technologies
- CI/CD experience
- Git experience
- Agile development experience
