Overview

TSK Consulting are growing and have an exciting vacancy for a Senior Civil Engineer with drive and ambition to join our team in Nottingham. You will report to our Civil Engineering Director and will work at the centre of our team to deliver high-quality technical output, develop junior members of the team, and work closely with our clients to ensure that their needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and management of the delivery of multiple projects, including leading small delivery teams from the pre-planning stage through to delivery on site.
• Production and checking of technically strong levels, drainage, earthworks, and external works designs to meet the needs of our diverse client base.
• Production and checking of highway design packages of work to the requirements of Local Highway Authorities up to technical approval.
• Mentoring of junior members of the team, helping them to develop and ensuring that work output is to the correct standard.
• Responsibility for the commercial arrangements of smaller schemes, including production of fee proposals, agreement of additional fees, and invoicing.
• Coordination of Civil Engineering design with the Structural team within TSK and with other design disciplines externally as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, diligence, and care in your working environment and contributing to the continual improvement of the business.

Qualifications and Experience

• Detailed knowledge of the codes and standards involved in private and public sector Civil Engineering design, including Building Regulations, Local Authority highway design guides, DMRB and Specification for Highway Works and Sewerage Sector Guidance.
• Knowledge of sectional agreements under the Highways Act (S278, 38, etc) and Water Industry Act (S104, 106, etc.) are essential.
• Experience with the successful delivery of schemes working with these standards and be able to demonstrate this knowledge within daily work.

Requirements

• Self-starter, capable of working independently and in a small team and taking the lead on Civil Engineering schemes.
• Technically strong across a range of Civil Engineering disciplines.
• Experience with industry standard design software such as Civil 3D, Flow, Microdrainage and PDS.
• Ability to manage and prioritise competing workload and tasks.
