This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a trusted, highly-respected multidisciplinary consultancy, offering specialist design services for a diverse range of projects across the civil engineering, planning, and landscape architecture fields. My client is on the lookout for a motivated, experienced Senior Civil Engineer, capable of leading a growing team across a range of residential, commercial, and retail projects, based near the elegant, green town of Harrogate.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Work on a diverse range of projects, across the public and private sectors, including for Local Authorities
• Complete Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies, reviewing and amending these where appropriate
• Producing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), Access Roads, Road Alignment, Highways, and Site Design, utilising the appropriate software packages (namely, AutoCAD and Civils 3D)
• Leading high-profile projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
• Developing, maintaining, and managing client relations across the public and private sectors
• Liaising with clients to ascertain project budgets and realistic timescales
• Representing the company at design team meetings and site visits

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Hold a Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or a similar, relevant discipline
• Be a Chartered Civil Engineer, or actively working to attain Chartership Status
• Extensive relevant experience within a consultancy setting
• Demonstrable experience in completing Site Design, Drainage Strategies, and Road Alignment for Planning Applications
• Strong competencies in the relevant software packages, to include InfoDrainage and Civils 3D

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Live near to York, being familiar with the region
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
