We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer for a leading technology consultancy. This is a remote role with infrequent travel to London for team meetings.

You will work across complex cloud and on-premise environments that power critical systems and services. You'll play a key hands-on role supporting, optimising, and evolving infrastructure platforms across Azure and hybrid estates - driving reliability, performance, and automation.

Due to the nature of the project work valid SC Clearance is essential.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you'll:

Lead on incident resolution and major escalations, working to strict SLAs.
Provide hands-on technical support across Azure, private cloud, and on-prem environments.
Drive service improvements by identifying root causes and implementing permanent fixes.
Contribute to design, documentation, and standards to ensure stable, scalable operations.
Collaborate with project and operations teams to ensure seamless service handovers.
Champion best practice in automation, resilience, and cloud adoption.

Key Skills & Experience

Microsoft Azure - IaaS, PaaS, and Identity (Entra ID / Azure AD).
Strong on-premises infrastructure background (Windows Server 2012-2022, AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, GPO, RDS).
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automation with PowerShell.
Experience with virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), SAN/Clustering, and backup technologies (Veeam, DPM, Commvault).
Exposure to Microsoft System Center, Office 365, and firewalling (Fortigate, Sophos).
Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
