Job title: Senior Cost Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: £35 - 45 per hour Umbrella
Start date: ASAP subject to clearance
Location: Preston - Hybrid 2 - 3 days per week on site
Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Apply project controls processes and procedures.
• Regular interfacing and integration with the planning team to maintain an aligned financial position with the programme.
• Drive solutions that optimise quality cost reporting.
• Attend project meetings to maintain knowledge of project status.
• Development and maintenance of cost collection structures in SAP
• Monitoring of costs incurred and ensuring correct cost allocation.
• Project cost forecasting.
• Revenue and gross margin monitoring and reporting.
• Ensuring corporate systems are up to date and an accurate reflection of the project.

Qualifications/Experience Required

• Experienced with cost management systems such as Oracle, SAP or equivalent.
• Experience of working within a project delivery environment.
• Experience across all stages of the project life cycle.
• Experience of working within NEC Projects.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular; Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Security Level: UK - Able to gain UKSC clearance
