OverviewVersion 1 is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join its Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing DWH/Data Visualisation solutions, along with data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large-scale operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workload, and work with initiative. A solid background in supporting and implementing data solutions is required.You will be part of a blended team from junior engineers to Principal Architects, with opportunities to develop skills across the Microsoft stack. The team actively encourages knowledge sharing and regularly identifies gaps for training and progression. Projects span multiple clients across several industry sectors, providing exposure to different technologies and platforms from on-premise to cloud.ResponsibilitiesImplement DWH/Data Visualisation solutions and data ingestion/transform pipelines for large-scale operations.Collaborate within a blended team from junior engineers to Principal Architects to deliver client projects.Develop skills across the Microsoft stack and participate in knowledge sharing and training opportunities.Engage with multiple clients across various industry sectors, gaining exposure to on-premise and cloud technologies.QualificationsExtensive experience across the Microsoft BI stack including SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.Experience supporting, creating and enhancing ETL solutions using Azure Data Factory.Knowledge of Azure resources such as Azure VM, Azure SQL Database, Log Analytics, Logic Apps, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Key Vault.Strong SQL skills with the ability to write performant queries and stored procedures and troubleshoot sources to apply fixes.Experience designing, building and reverse engineering Power BI reports with understanding of DAX and Power Query.Working knowledge of other BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, AWS Quicksight) and some knowledge of Oracle, MySQL.Experience with disaster recovery, capacity planning for on-premise and cloud-based solutions.Ability to estimate work pieces accurately and deliver against estimates.Some DBA tasks experience (performance tuning, sizing, backups, upgrades, migrations).Knowledge of source control (Git) and DevOps practices.Ability to work under pressure, manage complex changes, and prioritise key activities.Experience with full lifecycle activities: analysis, design, development, testing, UAT support, and production implementation.Adherence to coding standards and ITIL knowledge for service management best practices.Any knowledge of AWS and Attunity would be beneficial.Please note: We are only looking for SC Cleared candidates for this role.Why Version 1?At Version 1, we provide a comprehensive benefits package prioritising wellbeing, professional growth, and financial stability.
