Working in a FTSE 250 environment, you’ll be shaping enterprise-wide data solutions that directly influence strategy, operations, and growth.

This isn’t just about managing pipelines – it’s about designing the next generation of data platforms, solving complex business challenges, and making high-quality data the foundation of everything we do.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing and implementing scalable data solutions that meet enterprise needs.
  • Translating complex business requirements into high-performing data systems.
  • Supporting best practices in data governance, security and architecture.
  • Building and optimising pipelines across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensuring consistency across transactional and analytical data systems.
  • Contributing to the development of data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed storage environments.
  • Mentoring junior engineers, embedding best practice across the team.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, with strong expertise in Azure data services and/or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Proven track record designing scalable platforms and managing large cloud-based ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, NoSQL and frameworks such as Databricks.
  • Solid experience with ETL/ELT design, orchestration and optimisation.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and security best practices.
  • Strong experience integrating relational, NoSQL, and streaming data sources.
  • Competence in CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience with modern architectures including data mesh, event-driven processing, and streaming platforms (Kafka/Event Hub).
  • A passion for mentoring and embedding engineering best practice.

What you’ll get

  • Up to £88,000 salary + car allowance + annual target bonus.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Pension (up to 8% matched).
  • Private Medical Insurance (individual cover).
  • Life insurance (4x salary).
  • Company share save scheme.
  • Access to professional qualifications and development opportunities.
  • Employee discount and wellbeing platforms.
