Overview
Senior Design Engineer role at Arm. This position requires in-depth understanding across all elements contributing to successful product delivery, including low-power and high-speed design techniques and area-efficient designs. Responsibilities include writing micro-architecture specifications, developing RTL, running design checks, and collaborating with the verification team to review test plans and debug design issues. As a Staff engineer, you will guide and support other team members and contribute to developing and improving design methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Write micro-architecture specifications, develop RTL, and run design checks for complex ASIC/SoC products.
- Collaborate with the verification team to review test plans and help debug design issues.
- Guide and support other team members to enable successful completion of project activities and contribute to improving design methodologies.
Required Skills And Experience
- Experience of RTL design for complex ASIC products & SoCs using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
- Experience with Arm-based designs and/or Arm System Architectures
- Knowledge or experience with Functional Safety concepts and standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508). Experience on an Automotive IP or SoC from definition to completion
- Experience or knowledge in static design checks, synthesis and timing analysis, power management techniques
- Power domain and Clock Domain Crossing implementation
- Understanding of computer architecture and systems with practical experience on processor-based system designs
- Technical team leadership, mentoring or coaching experience
- Knowledge of shell programming/scripting (e.g. Tcl, Perl, Python)
Nice To Have
- High level programming experience such as C/C++ and/or assembly language
- Experience in embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessor, and embedded system hardware architectures
- Knowledge or experience of performing DFMEA, DFA at module and system level
