Join to apply for the Senior DevOps Engineer role at Cinefix. Hippo Digital is recruiting for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing consultancy team. This is a pivotal role within our Engineering function, delivering value and driving automation for our Public and Private Sector clients.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will act as a Senior Consultant, providing technical expertise and practices internally and to clients. You will support the team\'s technical deliverables, maintain client relationships, and contribute to personal and team development.

Our solutions empower customers to build secure, scalable, and well-engineered systems, using deep data insights and continuous innovation to deliver platforms that maximize data and digital services. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be a key implementer in this mission.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical expertise to produce user-centered software based on business requirements and best practices.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code and automation, promoting a platform-agnostic approach.
• Operate in a hands-on development environment across multiple platforms, languages, and frameworks.
• Champion, coach, and maintain best practices and standards in Cloud architecture, data platform development, testing and support.
• Share knowledge from consultancy and product development with the wider community.
• Lead in recruitment of engineers and support consultants in their professional development.
• Ensure Hippo DevOps and Engineering communities contribute to the business at a strategic level.

Requirements / Skills and Experience

• Expert proficiency with Azure or AWS for seamless integration and deployment.
• Excellent experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, with significant experience in GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience deploying and managing containerised applications with Kubernetes and Kubectl.
• Strong experience with Terraform for declarative infrastructure provisioning across cloud environments.
• Strong Linux administration skills, particularly with RHEL and Alpine, including managing GitLab Runners.
• Experience integrating/testing tools such as PyTest and/or Selenium within automated pipelines.
• Experience with Docker for containerisation and application packaging.
• Experience implementing and managing monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience implementing robust security practices, including TLS encryption and Secret Management in the Cloud.
• Experience leveraging GitLab API for automation, integration, and reporting.
• Knowledge of Security and Approval Planning processes, ensuring compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Desirable: Apache Tomcat, SIP, RTF or Telephony experience.

Location & Travel

Headquartered in Leeds with offices across the UK. The role may require on-site work and travel to client locations. Reasonable relocation support is available.
