We're currently seeking an experienced individual to join us on

a staff basis in London

as a

Senior Environmental Engineer . This key role will work directly with the Project Development Manager to support the delivery of the DCO from scoping through pre-application, examination, to the Secretary of State decision and beyond. It will also support the engineering team on environmental issues.

Responsibilities:

Manage environmental consultants to develop environmental documentation.

Coordinate with internal and external technical specialist environmental teams to provide evidence, draft, and review DCO documents supporting the project.

Ensure environmental compliance throughout the application process.

Oversee agreements, criteria, and conditions outlined in the Development Consent Order (DCO), collaborating with stakeholders, individual packages, and the Consent team to ensure technical compliance.

Support the Land Strategy Team in the land acquisition process.

Review engineering contractor/supplier documentation.

Interface between engineering disciplines and DCO consultants.

Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with contractors and internal teams.

Maintain and update risk registers, DCO consent registers, and other trackers.

Review progress and cost reports from DCO consultants.

Who we're seeking:

8-10+ years of experience, including on complex, large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.

Experience in developing EIA documentation.

Some knowledge of the DCO process for complex energy projects.

Knowledge of environmental aspects of the DCO process.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
