Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead on our award-winning Investcentre platform. You will join a team with a philosophy of continuous improvement and a strong focus on engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor the team to design and deliver high-quality products.
  • Consider architectural and non-functional requirements and work with the team to deliver.
  • Develop services and APIs using technologies such as PHP, Node, .NET Core, MongoDB and/or SQL, applying techniques such as domain-driven design and MVC.
  • Contribute to the frontend stack with React, Next.js, or NestJS.
  • Develop HTTP-based APIs and RESTful services with JSON.
  • Promote and participate in CI/CD pipelines; advocate for Test Driven Development and work with various test frameworks and concepts.
  • Develop scalable, highly available, and high-performing middle-tier components.
  • Familiarise yourself with containerisation and tools like Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions on AWS.
  • Understand principles behind high-performing web pages.

Qualifications

  • Significant commercial experience in full-stack development across the mentioned technologies and patterns (PHP, Node, .NET Core, Mongo/SQL; DDD; MVC).
  • Strong technical background in web development with React/Next.js/NestJS.
  • Experience in developing HTTP-based APIs and RESTful services with JSON.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD, Test Driven Development, and familiarity with test frameworks and concepts.
  • Track record of building scalable, highly available, and high-performing middle-tier components.
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) and AWS cloud-based deployments.
  • Understanding of highly performing web pages and modern web best practices.
  • Soft skills: Agile/SCRUM/SAFe, strong written and verbal communication, highly motivated with drive and enthusiasm.
  • Experience in E-commerce and/or financial services is desirable.
