Overview

The VacancyRSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Wigan, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after specialist design engineers joined RSK to strengthen its capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team of professional civil and structural engineers with many years of experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver designs for infrastructure projects on time and to budget.
  • Input into engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
  • Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278, etc.).
  • Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
  • Maintain effective communication with the design team and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure LDE\'s quality procedures are complied with.
  • Understand fee preparation and project cost budgets.
  • Assist in mentoring and managing junior staff.
  • Assist with technical report production.
  • Working knowledge of highway design and ground modelling; drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
  • Autocad, PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar), Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar), and Microsoft packages.
  • Ideally 5+ years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy.
  • Educated to degree or HNC level.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar consultancy sector is preferred.
  • Degree or HNC level education.
