Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer: Lead Mechanical Design of New Product Development (Full product Life-cycle) Produced Detailed Designs using 3D CAD (Ideally SolidWorks but open to other CAD packages) Concept Generation Produce Documentation to support Development Continuous Improvement of Processes and Tools Approving Engineering Drawings Skills and Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer: Mechanical Engineer undergraduate degree (or similar). Full Product Life-cycle Design Experience. Experience in running or leading your Design Projects. Experience with FEA and/or CFD. Engineering background in Aerospace or Defence.
