About the role: The successful candidate will work as part of the mechanical design team to deliver projects from feasibility through to construction (RIBA Stages 1–6). Responsibilities

Design, specifications, and construction stage project management of mechanical projects (all aspects of Mechanical Services), covering all RIBA stages. Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously. Ensure all projects meet British Standards, CIBSE Guides to Good Practice, and other relevant legislation. Conduct Mechanical Services Feasibility Studies and Energy Efficiency Reports. Attend project meetings and regular Design Department meetings for workload planning. Develop strong relationships with team members.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Essential Skills:

Ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines while maintaining good communication with clients and design teams. Project leadership and client–facing experience.

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of industry regulations, mechanical design, and installations. Understanding of electrical services.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Good working knowledge of utility services, both new connections and disconnections. Project management experience in building service projects. ONC/HNC in building services engineering or equivalent professional qualifications.

Experience

Experience in mechanical engineering, engineering consultancy, and/or mechanical installations. Proficiency with design calculation software such as AutoCAD & IES. Experience with renewable technologies and systems. Experience with design calculation software like Design Builder, Cymap, BIM projects, and Revit.
