A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Manchester-based design team. This is a high-trust, autonomous role reporting directly to the Head of Design, offering the chance to work across complex projects in the healthcare, leisure, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.You'll be joining a collaborative, technically driven environment where peer reviews are a large part of the workload in a team size of 10-12 (Design team with a wider 60+ technical group). What You'll Be Doing Lead mechanical design and technical delivery across a range of UK and international projects Conduct peer reviews and support junior engineers with technical guidance Collaborate with electrical counterparts and validation teams to troubleshoot and optimise building performance Engage in client-side conversations, offering clear, confident advice and technical insight Work on bids and proposals with Tier 1 contractors and advisory groups Uphold compliance, sustainability, and value engineering principles across all workstreams Operate with autonomy while contributing to daily team meetings and shared design reviews
