This role sits within the Water Utilities Division, a centre of excellence for UK and Ireland water and wastewater challenges.

The Water Utilities Division delivers across the full project life cycle, from advisory services to feasibility studies and detailed design. We are growing our Digital Team to support our ambitious Growth Plan and the digital journeys of our water sector clients.

Role and responsibilities

We are looking for staff with broad digital skills who can provide both strategic advisory services and implementation support to develop and deliver execution plans. The role involves working on live commissions and may also support internal digital initiatives. Digital here is a broad term and can include information management, software development, GIS, data engineering, IT, and related areas. The successful candidate will be a generalist or specialist in specific digital areas, contributing to the delivery of digital change for water company clients and supporting the Moata platform adoption.

The role offers opportunities for career progression, development of future-proofed services, and involvement in delivering step changes in how we support clients. It is suitable for someone keen to take broad responsibilities and progress professionally.

Candidate specification

Essential

  • Degree level education in a subject relating to the position
  • An excellent understanding of digital services and solutions applicable in the UK water industry
  • Experience managing small digital delivery teams and supporting junior team members with career development
  • Track record in working closely with clients to advise and implement digital change
  • Excellent technical report writing skills using concise English
  • Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across internal multi-disciplinary teams and client teams

Desirable

  • Chartered Status with a recognised Professional Institution
  • Experience applying ISO19650 principles
  • Experience with change management principles
  • Experience working within the UK water industry
  • Experience with Python, PowerAutomate & PowerBI
  • Experience with ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud or SharePoint
