Senior and Graduate Process Engineer - Automotive/PCBs\n Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 DOE + Benefits\n Location: Birmingham\n\nAre you a driven Process Engineer with experience in mechanical systems and automation? Do you want to play a key role in optimising processes for the fast-growing electric vehicle sector?\n\nWe are a dynamic and expanding manufacturing company, recently transitioned from private limited to public limited, offering excellent opportunities for growth, progression, and international exposure.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop, configure, and optimise industrial processes from concept through to start-up and certification\n\nAssess production processes, conduct measurements, and interpret data to identify improvement opportunities\n\nDesign, run, test, and upgrade mechanical and automated systems, including chemical and batch operations\n\nLead process development and optimisation for EV specialty components\n\nPerform process simulations and feasibility assessments\n\nSupport capital equipment introduction, commissioning, and handover to production\n\nProduce clear documentation and operating instructions\n\nApply structured problem-solving methods (DMAIC, 5 Whys, Fishbone) to drive quality and efficiency improvements\n\nImprove Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by reducing downtime, performance issues, and quality losses\n\nImplement and maintain 5S methodology across production areas\n\nExperience & Skills Required:\n\nStrong background in mechanical systems, automation, and continuous improvement\n\nAutomotive sector experience is essential; EV industry knowledge is advantageous\n\nPrinted circuit manufacturing and PCB exposure are highly desirable\n\nSix Sigma Yellow or Green certification\n\nAbility to read technical drawings and interpret measurement/process data\n\nExposure to chemical handling and batch production beneficial\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary £30,000 - £50,000 DOE\n\n8% pension contribution\n\nLife assurance and healthcare\n\nShare and loyalty schemes\n\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\nMonday to Friday, 8:30-5:30\n\nOccasional domestic and international travel opportunities\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of the automotive and EV sector.
