The Opportunity

Join a high-performing engineering team at the forefront of UK nuclear infrastructure. As a Senior Process Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing, analysing, and optimising systems that demand precision, safety, and compliance.

This is a hands-on role in a highly regulated environment. You’ll be working on projects that support nuclear decommissioning, fuel cycle management, or new build programmes — depending on your background and strengths.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading process design and development across full lifecycle phases
  • Producing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and safety documentation
  • Conducting hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA) and supporting ALARP assessments
  • Collaborating with mechanical, control, and safety engineers to ensure integrated solutions
  • Supporting regulatory submissions and technical assurance reviews
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical governance

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree-qualified in Chemical/Process Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in nuclear, oil & gas, or similarly regulated sectors
  • Strong grasp of process safety, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety case development
  • The ability to gain SC clearance (must be a British national to gain the required level of security clearance)

Why This Role?

This isn’t just a contract — it’s a chance to work on nationally significant programmes, with a team that values technical excellence and professional integrity. You’ll be trusted to lead, challenge, and deliver.
