As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of our application platforms by maintaining the smooth operation of the underlying infrastructure and ensuring that systems and applications function as expected

Your key responsibilities

  • Oversee regional production support services, lead the Production team, and drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) adoption with a focus on prioritisation and risk management
  • Manage major incidents to resolution, keeping stakeholders informed and minimising impact, foster effective relationships with business stakeholders, engineering colleagues, vendor teams, and infrastructure
  • Develop expertise in supported applications, including business flows, architecture, and hardware configuration
  • Provide technical and thought leadership in incident and service request management, ensuring monitoring meets SLA/KPI targets and maximises application uptime.
  • Assist in approving new releases and production changes, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure production readiness criteria are met
  • Maintain up-to-date support runbooks and knowledge articles and promote a proactive and predictive support approach using SRE techniques

Your skills and experience

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience up to the most senior level
  • Drive production transformation agenda (including automation, AI/ML solutions) and foster a production engineering culture
  • Experience with relational database management systems, troubleshooting, using monitoring, Service Management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA) and scheduling tools (e.g., Geneos, Netcool, Control-M, Autosys)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT-related discipline (or equivalent work experience/diploma); experienced in ITIL/DevOps/SRE (ITIL v3 foundation certification, DevOps certification/Cloud Certification).
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies; experienced in influencing and engaging stakeholders to support production strategy
  • Advantageous: Experience with data transformation/dataflow processing (Big Data technologies), cloud platforms, observability tools/techniques, DevOps and exposure to BFSI domain
