We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join our UK Process Automation Delivery Engineering Team, based in Coventry. You will work on projects in sectors such as water, wastewater, and critical national infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include leading and delivering SCADA telemetry engineering solutions, often involving the AVEVA PI System. This includes design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and mentoring junior engineers. Projects vary in length and complexity, from small orders to multi-year programmes. The role is hybrid, with two days in the office and three from home, plus occasional UK and Ireland travel (around 10%). You must hold a valid UK driving licence.

What you will do

  1. Deliver technical solutions for SCADA telemetry and AVEVA PI systems.
  2. Design and configure hardware, software, and network systems.
  3. Lead testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  4. Review and approve engineering documentation.
  5. Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
  6. Support bid teams with technical input and planning.

Proven experience with SCADA telemetry systems, ideally Geo SCADA, and hands-on experience with AVEVA PI or similar are required. Knowledge of computer networking, digital communications, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity at control system level is essential. Experience in sectors such as water, oil and gas, or utilities is preferred.
