Job Title:Senior Quality EngineerLocation:Westerham, KentSalary:Up to £50,000 per annum plus 5% annual bonusDepartment:Quality (Single-person role)We are seeking a proactive and highly skilledSenior Quality Engineer to take full ownership of our Quality Management System (QMS) in a standalone capacity. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone confident in managing all aspects of quality control, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a working knowledge ofISO 9001.Key Responsibilities as a Senior Quality Engineer:Maintain and continually improve the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and readiness for audits.Act as the primary contact for all quality-related matters, including internal and external audits, certification bodies, and customer quality requirements.Develop, review, and update quality procedures, policies, and documentation.Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits.Monitor key quality metrics and present findings to management.Liaise closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain to maintain consistent product and service quality.Skills & Experience Required as a Senior Quality Engineer:Proven experience as aSenior Quality Engineeror Quality Engineer in a manufacturing/production environment.In-depth knowledge and practical application ofISO 9001:2015.Experience in running a QMS in a standalone capacity.Strong auditing skills (internal auditor qualification preferred).Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work cross-functionally.Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, self-sufficient approach.If you have the technical expertise, self-motivation, and confidence to run a quality function independently, we’d love to hear from you.
