We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Internal Systems team, which supports all our business systems from production facilities to service and studio teams.

About the position

  • This position is office based at our office in Manvers, Rotherham.
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, with flexible working options
  • Hybrid office working with on-site collaboration with the team and end users

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to deliver high quality, feature-rich systems that automate processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust applications using C#, .NET Core, and JavaScript with a focus on scalability and performance, following Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient solutions across internal business systems.
  • Utilise AWS services for cloud deployment, management, and maintenance to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Design, optimise, and maintain SQL queries, views and stored procedures to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance the functionality of production applications.
  • Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to maintain high-quality code standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a C# Developer, preferably working with internal business systems.
  • Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deployment and management.
  • Solid understanding of SQL databases such as MSSQL and MySQL, with SQL query optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to serverless software development.

Our combined office, production, and training facilities are in Wath Upon Dearne, near Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, and Doncaster. The 165,000 square foot facility offers ample on-site parking and is accessible by major bus routes and nearby train stations.
