Overview Job Description Aspion Search is proud to represent a steel construction company in their search for a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their design team due to a continued pipeline of high-profile, technically demanding projects. The Business:

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality structural designs for steel frameworks and complex connections Conduct manual and software-based calculations to British and Eurocode standards Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients throughout project lifecycles Maintain effective client relationships to support repeat business and referrals Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members Attend design meetings and contribute to technical discussions
About the Senior Structural Design Engineer
Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (ideally working toward Chartered status) Minimum 8 years’ experience in UK-based structural steel design Previous experience with a UK-based steelwork fabricator Proven experience in steelwork frame and connection design Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer, Masterseries, S-Frame, IDEA StatiCa Strong knowledge of British and European design standards Confident producing both manual and software-based calculations Experience in temporary works design (desirable)
