Job Opportunity: Senior Structural Engineer | Leeds

Location: Leeds (Hybrid working available)

This role offers a diverse portfolio, including large-scale new builds, complex refurbishments, and critical infrastructure upgrades. You’ll collaborate with architects, surveyors, and sustainability consultants to deliver innovative, efficient, and buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process on a wide range of projects from inception to completion
• Deliver structural assessments, calculations, and detailed designs in concrete, steel, masonry, and timber
• Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines
• Oversee site inspections, technical reports, and contractor support
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and relevant legislation including the Building Safety Act
• Mentor and support junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices
• Contribute to bid writing, project strategy, and business development when required

Ideal Candidate Profile

• MEng, BSc, or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered (or working toward Chartered status) with IStructE or ICE
• Strong experience with structural design software (TEKLA Structural Designer, TEDDS, Masterseries, etc.)
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM processes (advantageous)
• Proven track record in client-facing roles and project delivery
• Able to produce high-quality reports, specifications, and drawings independently
• UK driving licence (essential for site visits)
