Flexible.\n \nLocation: Hybrid working in North-West England (preferably just south of Manchester and Liverpool), with occasional travel\n\nWhen you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources and help it become a better place for everyone.\n\nWhether you're looking to overhaul the industry, or just do a good day's work, we know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.\n\nWhat we can offer you:\n\n25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays\n \nRefer an Engineer to us once you've joined and earn £1000\n \nAccess to our people's pension scheme\n \nFree physiotherapy service \n \nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\n \nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n \nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential \n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n\nCarry out maintenance, fault diagnosis, and corrective actions on SCADA/PLC control systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens) to ensure safe and efficient operations\n \nDesign, install, and commission new PLC/SCADA systems or upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure\n \nProvide technical expertise and develop control strategies for industrial systems, including SCADA, communication networks, protocols, field wiring, and devices\n \nWork across a variety of sites, from hospitals to district heating networks and top-tier COMAH industrial facilities\n \nPerform maintenance and basic support for BMS systems (e.g., Trend) as required, ensuring optimal performance\n \nAdhere to Permit to Work systems and compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)\n \nPrepare proposals for SCADA system modifications to improve efficiency and productivity\n \nProvide commissioning support for new SCADA projects to ensure successful implementation\n \nComplete administrative tasks on time and maintain accurate records and documentation\n \nCollaborate with the design review team to develop and review SCADA control and monitoring solutions\n \nConduct all activities professionally and in line with company procedures and values\n\nWhat we're looking for:\n\nONC/HNC in an engineering discipline or substantial experience in a similar SCADA-focused role\n \nStrong technical understanding of SCADA systems, including panel drawings, control circuits, P&IDs, and loop tuning\n \nCompetence in working with Allen Bradley PLC systems, DeviceNet, Modbus, and metering systems\n \nWorking knowledge of control systems for industrial plants, such as steam boilers, combined heat and power, air compressors, chillers, refrigeration, or HVAC systems\n \nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex control and instrumentation (C&I) issues\n \nComfortable working on site with hand tools, multimeters, etc.\n \nIET 18th Edition qualification\n \nClean UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required\n \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n \nWillingness to work until a job is complete and take part in the company service call-out rota\n \nExperience with BMS systems (e.g., Trend IQ Vision, Trend 963) and related upgrades would be desirable\n \nFamiliarity with EM&T systems would be desirable\n\nWhat's next?\n\nApply today, so we can make a difference for to come.\n\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
