Senior Systems Engineer - RF, Customer Facing, Hands on Technical Development

The prime focus for the role is the front end, working closely with the commercial teams. There will be some customer-facing work alongside the commercial team, as well as helping to improve processes and procedures. There is also a very large focus on hands on technical development, and exposure to RF is desirable.

We’re supporting a cutting-edge engineering team near Northampton/Milton Keynes, UK who are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their growing operation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on being hands-on, driving technical development, and solving complex engineering challenges—not just focusing on strategy or people management.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading system design, requirements capture, and verification throughout the full lifecycle
• Working directly with RF, Hardware, Mechanical, and Embedded teams
• Contributing hands-on to technical development, design reviews, and system delivery
• Applying your problem-solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges
• Supporting customer-facing activities and process improvements alongside the commercial team

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in systems engineering
• Strong hands-on technical background
• Knowledge of system design, integration, and verification
• Ideally, awareness of RF technologies
• A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and strong team collaboration skills

Security

• British Citizen or ability to obtain required security clearance (SC).

Travel & Working Environment

• Travel unlikely/limited.
• Onsite working including working from home policy (3 office/2 WFH).
