My client, a specialist UK-based Environmental Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their new Design Team in Peterborough. The position offers a hybrid working model.

Applicants must have a strong academic background in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy on water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. Essential skills include completing calculations and detailed designs for Drainage Systems, Pumping Stations, CSO, shafts and tanks, pressure pipes, SuDS, water retaining structures, and water and wastewater treatment plants. Proficiency in Revit, Civils 3D, and Infodrainage for detailed design is also required.

You will join an experienced team working directly with clients, specializing in wastewater non-infrastructure design for Water Companies and Consultancies. Responsibilities include:

  1. Water and Wastewater Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure Projects
  2. Detailed Civil Engineering Design, including Pumping Stations, Water and Wastewater Treatment Works, and Water Retaining Structures
  3. Design of Pipelines, Pressure Pipes, and CSOs using Civils 3D and Infodrainage
  4. Shaft and tank design
  5. Calculations and report preparation
  6. Mentoring junior team members
  7. Retrofitting SUDS and drainage solutions for remote surface water management
  8. Frequent liaising with Local Authorities, Consultancies, and Water Companies
