My client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their expanding Civil Engineering division, supporting high-profile residential and infrastructure projects across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in delivering engineering excellence across multiple live sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritise site engineering workloads across multiple projects
  • Liaise daily with construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Provide support and mentorship to trainee engineers
  • Interpret and implement civil engineering works from drawings and specifications
  • Attend client and internal project meetings
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with practical solutions
  • Maintain accurate records including RFIs, site quality manuals, and as-built surveys
  • Contribute to value engineering proposals and tender documentation
  • Ensure compliance with the Engineers Handbook and quality control procedures
  • Support problem-solving at site level, minimising commercial and programme impact

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong background in civil engineering, ideally with residential and infrastructure experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to review drawings and manage documentation effectively
  • Experience in mentoring or developing junior engineers
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and quality
