Site Services Engineer Salary: £48,500 Location: Hull Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm We are currently seeking a multi-skilled Site Services Engineer to join a busy and well-established food manufacturing site. This is a permanent, full-time role, ideal for an experienced engineer with a background in facilities or site services, looking to work in a day-based role with no weekend shifts. This position plays a vital role in supporting site operations by maintaining and repairing essential services, such as boilers, ammonia systems, air compressors, and effluent treatment equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that all systems remain fully operational in line with food safety, health and safety, and legal compliance standards. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns across all site services and plantMaintain and monitor boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, air compressors and water treatment systemsStrip, clean and rebuild pumps and valves, including within the effluent houseCarry out basic welding and pipework repairsMaintain accurate records for maintenance activities and spare part usageEnsure full compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standardsWork closely with other departments and communicate engineering updates effectivelySupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of engineering KPIsConduct root cause analysis to minimise equipment downtimeAttend relevant training to stay current with legislative and safety requirements What Were Looking ForProven experience working in a facilities, Site Utilities, Plant Services or Site services role within a manufacturing or similar environmentMulti-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical backgroundExperience with ammonia systems, steam boilers and compressed air systems is essentialEngineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Basic welding and fabrication skills desirableStrong understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and relevant industry legislationExperience in FMCG or food manufacturing is beneficialAbility to work independently, proactively and safelyGood organisational skills and a methodical approach to problem solving Why JoinSalary of £48,500Day-based role with stable Monday to Friday hoursA well-established business with a supportive engineering teamOpportunities for ongoing development and training If you have the relevant background in facilities or site services and are ready to take on a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, wed love to hear from you.Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
