Structural / Civil Engineer – Specialist Infrastructure & Energy Consultancy
Are you a skilled Structural / Civil Engineer with a passion for infrastructure and sustainable design We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering consultancy known for delivering high-quality civil and structural design solutions across critical infrastructure, power & energy and rail sectors.
Location: London / South East (hybrid working available)

About the Opportunity
Our client is a dynamic and award-winning engineering consultancy specialising in civil and structural design across complex infrastructure programmes supporting the UK’s energy transition and transport networks. You’ll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering technically rigorous and sustainable engineering solutions — from feasibility and tender support through to detailed design and construction assurance.
Projects may include substations, power networks, electrification schemes, bridges, retaining structures, cable routes and temporary works packages. Join a business recognised for its agility, experience and commitment to engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake and coordinate civil and structural engineering design across infrastructure programmes
Prepare technical calculations, drawings and specifications to Eurocodes and relevant standards
Provide design assurance, quality reviews and risk assessments throughout project stages
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams and clients
Support construction-phase queries and on-site reviews as required
Contribute to innovation, sustainability and best practice in design delivery
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/MEng)
Experience in civil/structural design within a consultancy environment
Strong technical ability with knowledge of UK design codes and standards
Proficiency with structural and analysis software (e.g., Robot, Tekla TEDDS, AutoCAD/BIM tools)
Excellent communicator and team player with a proactive mindset
Chartered status or working towards ICE/IStructE chartership desirable
