Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Structural Integrity Engineer to join the Plant Structural Integrity department at Rolls-Royce Submarines. The role involves conducting structural integrity assessments, including primary strength, fatigue, crack growth, and fracture assessments, in accordance with ASME III and R6 codes. You will support various programmes, from in-service to new builds, and develop Finite Element Analysis models to evaluate stresses and justify components.
The work is diverse and dynamic, requiring rapid response to challenges, providing vital support to the submarine enterprise.

Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical assessments using finite element methods and hand calculations
- Develop and support component designs and lifecycle management
- Create and validate finite element models using tools like Abaqus
- Communicate assessment results effectively to diverse audiences
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, physics, or mathematics
- Interest and expertise in structural integrity analysis
- Experience with finite element analysis (preferably Abaqus)
- Knowledge of safety-critical industry standards (ASME III, R6)
Additional Information:
