Do you have a passion for driving supplier excellence in the automotive industry? We’re looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Technical & Quality team.

This role offers the chance to work with suppliers across the UK and internationally, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within the automotive supply chain.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the key link between our business and suppliers on quality concerns.
  • Manage customer and supplier issues using tools like 8D, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Conduct supplier audits in the UK and abroad.
  • Own the approved supplier list, certification records, and audit schedules.
  • Develop and implement supplier rating systems and improvement plans.
  • Support new supplier selection, development, and onboarding.
  • Carry out internal audits against ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards.
  • Champion sustainability, environmental, and corporate responsibility across the supply base.

What we’re looking for:

  • Lead Auditor trained (ideally IATF 16949).
  • Strong Quality Engineering background, ideally in automotive manufacturing or supply chain.
  • Skilled in APQP, PPAP, GD&T, and 8D problem solving.
  • Confident interpreting technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
  • Competent with inspection equipment and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and open to global travel.

You’ll be part of a highly collaborative Technical & Quality team where your expertise will directly shape supplier performance and product quality in the automotive sector. This is a role where every day is different – from auditing suppliers abroad to driving continuous improvement at home.
