Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join the team from our site in Manchester. This role will provide sales support to Customers, within a Sales Team (and the external John Crane Sales & Service personnel who support them).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY TASKS - 

  1. A simple Price and Delivery for known product

  2. Complex bids for Product (involving selection of multiple products from given duty / application data and/or Customer equipment detail)

  3. High value bids for potentially a mixture of Product and Service.

  1. Literature, where-used information,

  2. Relevant prior referenced experience, 3rd party commentary,

  3. Calculations of key technical outputs relative to the particular product, using JC calc tools

  4. General Arrangement drawings, sketches, P&ID or other pictorial representations,

  5. Alternative selections, offers and/or options to the prime selection,

  6. Reasoned argumentation of Features/Benefits to assist in ‘selling’ of the product/service

An individual who has the knowledge and experience to multi-task at a high technical level, in a professional manner with excellent customer-facing communication skills.
