Your new company A well-established IT services provider based in Bangor is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join their close-knit technical team. This is a hands-on role supporting a diverse portfolio of business clients across Northern Ireland, offering a mix of remote and on-site work. Your new role The successful candidate will: Deliver responsive technical support, resolving issues efficiently and professionally. Manage service requests and incidents using a PSA system, ensuring timely resolution. Lead and contribute to IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and hardware deployments. Monitor client environments proactively using RMM tools to prevent disruptions. Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a knowledgeable and approachable advisor. Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously develop their technical expertise. This role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, variety, and direct client interaction. What You Need to Succeed At least 3 years' experience in a technical support role, preferably within a managed service or business IT environment. A Level 5 qualification in an IT-related field or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows & Office applications Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V) Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID) Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organisational ability and the capacity to manage competing priorities. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Bonus skills include: Experience with PSA systems (e.g., Autotask) Knowledge of Intune, PowerShell scripting, or cloud-managed security Exposure to business applications like Sage What You'll Get in Return Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, plus overtime.
