About the Role

They are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution for hardware and hardware-related software issues. This role involves both remote and hands-on support from our warehouse, with a strong focus on Dell hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and effective technical support to customers via phone and email.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware build issues within the warehouse, following Dell cable routing diagrams and system specifications.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to clarify technical issues and enhance their product understanding.
• Document and track customer issues, resolutions, and system configurations in our support database.
• Create internal and external documentation on new servers, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and support network configurations, including switches and routing protocols.
• Utilize basic programming knowledge (C++, Python, and Linux command line) to help diagnose and resolve hardware issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical support or similar engineering role.
• Strong hardware expertise, particularly with Dell systems.
• Solid understanding of network troubleshooting and switch configurations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
• Basic programming knowledge in C++ and Python.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Office 365, VPNs, SQL, Metabase, or MDM systems.
