What you’ll be doing
Performing IPC-level inspections of electronic assemblies Running tests & recording results across hardware, software, and firmware Using a wide range of test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, etc.) Fault finding & repair down to component level Providing feedback & documenting discrepancies Keeping detailed records and ensuring compliance with company standards Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised assembly/test area Working closely with engineering teams to meet deadlines on key projects What you’ll bring
3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing/test environment Background in defence projects (preferred) IPC inspection certification BTEC in Electronics (ONC/HNC/HND) or equivalent Skilled in fault finding & repair (analogue + digital) Familiar with electronic/mechanical drawings & test specs Strong communicator, highly organised & self-motivated Hands-on with tools & test equipment, confident in problem-solving Must hold current UK Security Clearance (SC) or have held in the past What’s in it for you Opportunity to work on mission-critical, high-profile projects Hands-on exposure to cutting-edge defence technology Be part of a collaborative, supportive engineering team Chance to progress, learn and develop new skills Access to company benefits & support during your contract
