We are looking for a motivated and practically minded individual to join our engineering team as a Trainee Field Based Engineer. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone with a keen interest in mechanical or multi skilled engineering, seeking to build a long-term career in the industry.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in mechanical repairs, installations, and routine servicing. The role includes a blend of on-the-job training and structured learning through both internal and external providers, with particular focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers with installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment

Carry out mechanical assembly, routine servicing, and basic fault finding

Ensure workspaces are kept safe, clean, and well-organised

Complete all required job records, timesheets, and service reports accurately

Participate in internal and external training sessions to build technical competence

Travel to customer sites as required, including occasional overnight stays
