Job Title: Undergraduate Air Human Factors Engineer

Location: Warton/Samlesbury (Lancashire)

We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements; however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Length of contract: 12 months

Start date (dd Month Year): 22nd June 2026

Salary: £24,300

Description (summary): This role is within the Air Team supporting the development and support of air systems and services across crewed and un-crewed platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Human Factors (HF) engineers support the end-to-end design and development of our systems and services through the application of scientific knowledge and experience.
  • Our aim is to optimise the interaction between the system and the end users enabling them to achieve their mission effectively and efficiently.
  • You'll be part of our team of HF practitioners working across a variety of crewed and un-crewed platforms gathering assessment data, supporting the analysis and helping to document the results.
  • You'll work with engineers from other areas of the business and gain a broad understanding of challenges of complex integrated Air systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: 2.2 in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Human Factors, Ergonomics, Engineering Product Design, UX, Psychology or STEM subject (or predicted to obtain).
