OverviewA trusted, family-run business with nearly four decades of experience in forklift trucks and materials handling solutions is seeking a Workshop Engineer to join their team due to continued expansion.ResponsibilitiesService, repair, refurbish, and maintain a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure machinery meets high performance and safety standards.Collaborate with the workshop team to deliver outstanding service and support to our customers.Qualifications / ExperienceMechanical or electrical engineering experience (ideally in forklifts, plant, automotive, or similar sectors).Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are beneficial but not essential - experience and attitude matter most.Must hold a valid UK driver's licence and be able to commute to our Wokingham workshop.Salary and BenefitsSalary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum plus ongoing training and development - both in-house and with manufacturers, 22 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with each year of service), company pension scheme and additional benefits.How to ApplyIf this sounds like the Workshop Engineer role for you, click apply now.Candidate Source Ltd is an advertising agency.
