WSP is looking for Engineers and Assistant Engineers to join our Intelligent Infrastructure team. This role supports the Digital Infrastructure Design Capability across all areas with a focus on digital technologies and design methodologies. Location: Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London.

What you will do

• Engage in design tasks within a broader team and enable on-the-job learning across all aspects of roadside infrastructure design.
• Collaborate efficiently with the team, share ideas, provide support, and address gaps as necessary.
• Work with a diverse group of individuals and contribute to mentoring and development of junior staff.
• Demonstrate a strong problem‑solving mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguous situations, escalating issues to senior staff when appropriate.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or relevant experience in technology design.
• Either working towards professional registration or professionally registered with an accredited institute.
• Domain knowledge in a relevant industry, such as power, communications, electrical, electronics or highway design.

Ideal skills and competencies

• Understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards.
• Ability to carry out design processes, including the use of design tools.
• Experience working as part of a team in delivering designs or schemes.
• Collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines.
