Your Role

As a Finning Engineer, you will:

• Respond to customer service requests, diagnosing issues and providing detailed information to create accurate quotes.
• Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and communicate effectively with customers.
• Engage with site management to ensure compliance with customer procedures.
• Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators.
• Identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs, ensuring timely service.
• Perform repairs and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Driving License: LDV required.
• Training: NVQ Level 3 preferred, with significant experience as a service engineer or equivalent.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with gas and diesel engines, generators (both LV and HV).
• Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in using field-based diagnosis tools.
• Experience: Assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components, particularly Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series).
