Position Overview:

Main Job Functions:

In this role, you will:

• Respond to customer field repair and service requests, providing detailed diagnostics and solutions.
• Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and customer needs.
• Communicate with site management to ensure adherence to customer procedures.
• Diagnose equipment issues using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators.
• Identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs, coordinating delivery timelines.
• Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.

Education and Experience:

• Valid LDV driving license.
• Formally trained (NVQ Level 3 preferred) with significant experience as a service engineer or equivalent.
• Experience with various gas and diesel engines and generators (both LV and HV).

Knowledge:

• Proficiency in field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience in assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series) and MWM, MAK series.
