As a key member of our in-frame team, you’ll work across various sectors, providing top-notch diagnostic and repair services for Caterpillar products, including CAT engines, generators, and components.

Position Overview

Location: Leeds, Cannock, Cardiff, Glasgow

Type: Permanent

Your Role

As a Finning Engineer, you will:

• Respond to customer field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues and providing detailed information to create accurate quotes.
• Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and communicate effectively with customers.
• Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators to determine necessary repairs.
• Identify and requisition parts needed for repairs, ensuring timely delivery and scheduling of service visits.
• Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.

Who You Are

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A valid LDV driving license.
• Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and significant experience as a service engineer.
• Hands-on experience with gas and diesel engines, including generators (both LV and HV).
• Knowledge of field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components.
