Position Overview

As a Finning Engineer, you will be based in one of our vibrant locations: Leeds, Cannock, Cardiff, or Glasgow . This is a permanent position that offers a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Respond to customer field repair and service requests, providing detailed diagnostics and solutions.
• Estimate arrival times and communicate effectively with customers regarding their service requests.
• Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators to determine necessary repairs.
• Identify and requisition parts needed for repairs, ensuring timely service delivery.
• Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: LDV driving license and NVQ Level 3 (preferred) or equivalent experience as a service engineer.
• Experience: Familiarity with gas and diesel engines, both LV and HV, and hands-on experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines.
• Knowledge: Proficiency in field-based diagnostic tools and experience with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series).
