OverviewFire & Security Minor Works Engineer - Anglia Area. Marlowe Fire & Security, a specialist business within Marlowe Fire and Security Group, is looking to grow their team with an experienced Fire & Security Minor Works Engineer. The positions involve working closely with the Minor Works / Installations Team on small projects from inception through to completion on CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm Systems. The successful Engineer will contribute to the team and strive to deliver world-class customer service.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with the Lead Engineer on all troublesome sites, including any critical issuesWork closely with subcontract labour and onsite clientsMaintain Fire & Security Systems in your region when demand requiresEnsure effective communication with customers and schedulers when planning site visitsUtilise all customer portals as directed by your Lead Engineer in accordance with the customer requirementsFrom time to time, support the Service Engineers on particular jobs, and occasionally work slightly out of your designated postcode areaPlan and respond to routine and reactive call visits in your areaMaintain stock levels with support from the Stores teamAttend training sessions as and when requiredAttend Engineering team meetings as and when requiredIdentify any personal training and development needs to help provide the best possible customer serviceSystemsFire: Gent, Notifier, Kentec, Ziton, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, ProtecIntruder: Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier, RiscoCCTV: Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Generic Analogue SystemsAccess Control: Paxton, PAC, SaltoRequirementsWho We're Looking ForIn addition to the usual attributes of a Marlowe Fire & Security employee (positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well presented and professional at all times, ability to work alone and as part of a team), for this opportunity we are specifically looking for candidates who offer:Good all-round knowledge of Fire & Security SystemsExperience in a similar Fire & Security Installation role (minimum 2 years)Technical background in the electrical / electronic industryExperience of front-line customer contact preferredKnowledge of current industry standards and ability to commission multi-disciplined systemsSelf-motivated and able to organise workload, with the ability to work on own initiativeHighly organised, professional and computer literateFull UK Driving LicenceBenefitsHow we Attract, Reward & Retain Our Employees.
