An established FMCG manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer / Technician to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance routines to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify root causes of failure. Install and commission new equipment and machinery as required. Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure all systems meet operational and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage. Liaise effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and external contractors to ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues. Required Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; PLC experience is advantageous. Ability to work methodically with excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Calm and effective under pressure, particularly during unplanned breakdowns or high-demand periods. Use of specialist tools and machinery, sometimes requiring work from ladders or access platforms.
