An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing consultancy in Birmingham. This role will give you exposure to a wide variety of industries and the chance to deliver innovative design solutions on projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
• Support projects at every stage, from initial design concepts and feasibility studies through to detailed design and delivery.
• Work closely with clients and contractors to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
• Carry out calculations, FEA, and CFD analyses to optimise designs for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure designs meet relevant standards, codes of practice, and client specifications.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
• Proven background in mechanical design, ideally within a consultancy or project-led environment.
• Strong CAD skills and the ability to produce accurate models and drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Package & Benefits:

• Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience).
