This role involves contributing to a major maritime project, with the opportunity for hybrid working based in Scotstoun.Key Responsibilities:Designing mechanical systems with a focus on HVAC for maritime vesselsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of HVAC designsConducting detailed engineering analysis and calculations to support design decisionsPreparing technical documentation and reports to support project requirementsEnsuring compliance with industry standards and regulationsProviding technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designersParticipating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiativesAttending project meetings and presenting mechanical design updatesJob Requirements:Experience as a Mechanical Designer or Engineer within the Defence & Security sectorSpecialised knowledge of HVAC systems and their application in maritime environmentsProficiency in using relevant design and analysis softwareStrong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and standardsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both written and verbalDynamic work environment with hybrid working options (1-2 days onsite per week)Opportunity to work on significant projects within the Defence & Security sectorProfessional growth and development opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive team cultureIf you are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems looking to contribute to significant maritime projects, we want to hear from you.
