The Opportunity
Berkshire Talent Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading player in the UK’s energy infrastructure sector. This is a 12-month contract role, working on high-profile projects in renewable energy, gas peaking, and energy storage. You’ll be at the heart of the project delivery process — managing design reviews, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring every stage meets strict safety, quality, and performance standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage your own workload to deliver against project design specifications, budgets, and timelines. Collaborate with designers, contractors, project managers, planners, and procurement teams to develop and execute project plans. Conduct site assessments to evaluate feasibility and gather technical requirements. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Review design developments with suppliers, taking documentation through IFC (Issue for Construction) and IAB (Issue As Built) stages.
