We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Shift Engineer to join our on-site engineering team at a prestigious static client location. This hands-on role is ideal for a mechanically focused engineer with solid experience in building services and plant operations. You’ll be responsible for maintaining mechanical systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting the smooth operation of critical infrastructure. Role Summary: • Perform reactive and planned mechanical maintenance across HVAC systems, pumps, pipework, valves, and plant room equipment. • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to minimise downtime. • Carry out routine inspections, system tests, and compliance checks. • Support minor mechanical installations and equipment upgrades. • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including risk assessments and service reports. • Collaborate with the site team and escalate technical issues as needed. • Participate in the shift rota and provide out-of-hours support when required. • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards. • Use handheld devices to log jobs, update statuses, and request parts. • Contribute to a positive team environment and support junior engineers when needed.
